Hi, I’m Rich, Portrait photographer, husband, dad, and the person behind Chapter One Studio.
I’m quietly observant, a little dry, occasionally sarcastic, and very serious about good pizza and cheese. But more than anything, I care about people feeling comfortable, safe, and like themselves in front of my camera.
Most people tell me the same thing: “I hate having my photo taken.”
And honestly? That’s kind of my speciality.
You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to perform. You don’t need to become a different version of yourself. My job is to create a calm, un-pressured space, guide you gently, and photograph you as you are… not as who you think you’re supposed to be.
The result is honest, human portraits that feel like you.
